Graduacja polskich stypendystów i stypendystek 2022-23

On Friday, September 8th, 2022, we celebrated our 2022-23 Polish Fulbrighters who have recently completed their grants in the United States. The graduation ceremony was held at Klub Bankowca in Warsaw’s city center and gathered around a hundred people. While on a Fulbright grant, Polish scholars, students and doctoral candidates have spent several months in the U.S. conducting research/ engaging in didactic activities/ studying on a graduate level.

Before we started handing out diplomas, opening remarks were delivered by Justyna Janiszewska, Executive Director of the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission, Brian George, Public Affairs Counselor of the U.S. Embassy Warsaw and Tomasz Piotrowski from the Ministry of Education and Science. We were also pleased to participate in a live performance by two musicians and this year’s alums: Iwo Jedynecki (accordion) and Paweł Czarakcziew (cello).

During the meeting, we also had the opportunity to officially thank the Ambassadors of the Fulbright Program 2021-23, whose term of office is coming to a close. They have supported us in promotional activities for the past two years, sharing their knowledge and experience of going on Fulbright grants with potential candidates in their regions.

Graduations are very special events for our Commission staff. Talking to people who have just returned from their grants, sharing their experiences and impressions, full of new skills, hope, and often gratitude for the support they received, fills us with pure joy each and every year. We are proud of all of our graduates and wish them further success in their future endeavors.
