Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has worked to tighten relations among countries in the complex and fast-changing world. Although our main goal remains the same, we are learning and developing for you every day. Today, in cooperation with the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and the U.S. Department of State, Fulbright commissions around the world are proud to present the new logo of the Fulbright Program.
This change provides us, and the entire Fulbright community, with an opportunity to pause and look back in recognition for our achievements, and the unique network we have built together. Thank you! We hope that the “I am a Fulbrighter” phrase will now echo with even greater power and pride.
The Fulbright Program is a flagship, government-funded program of educational and cultural exchange between the U.S. and other countries. So far, thousands of grantees from over 160 countries have participated in the Program. For over 70 years, talented and passionate academics, students, artists, teachers, and professionals representing different fields have had the opportunity to enrich their educational and professional experience. Solely in our country, in the past 60 years, over 2000 Polish grantees from various academic and artistic fields have been given such a chance. This circle includes Prof. Marek Belka, Dr. Henryka Bochniarz, Dr. Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Prof. Danuta Hubner, Prof. Grzegorz Kołodko, Juliusz Machulski, Prof. Dariusz Rosati, and Cezary Stypułkowski.
The Fulbright Program is a unique chance not only to grow as a person, but it also encourages its participants to initiate social change on a large scale. The Program’s alumni come back to their local communities, schools, and institutions of higher education, and share their knowledge and stories. As such, they continue their mission, developed during the scholarship period, to respect and be open toward other countries and cultures. They join the community of thousands of alumni, and serve as leaders worldwide.
We constantly believe that by living and learning together with people from different cultures, we can shape a more positive vision of the future for both communities we live in, and the entire world. Our mission is key: to forge lasting connections, counter global misunderstandings, and help people and nations work together toward common goals.
Through the power of our difference, and dialogue, and with the help of our shared mission, and engagement of each and every Alumni, we are building an extraordinary worldwide network that connects people, and leads nations toward a peaceful future.
