Jeanne Briganti is a career Foreign Service Officer specializing in public diplomacy. She arrived from Washington, DC, where she worked for three years at the Pentagon as the Liaison to the Department of Defense for the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Previously, Jeanne served as Senior Advisor to Global Ties U.S., an NGO partner of the Department of State whose network of community-based member organizations implements the International Visitor Leadership Program (the Department of State’s premier professional exchange) in nearly 85 cities across the United States. Jeanne was Press Attaché in Warsaw from 2009 to 2012 and served as a consular officer at Consulate General Krakow from 2005 to 2007. Other other overseas assignments include U.S. Embassy Kingston, Jamaica (consular officer) and U.S. Consulate General Vancouver, Canada (Public Affairs Officer). Her Washington assignments include the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs (Public Diplomacy desk officer for Central Europe) and Intelligence and Research (Watch Officer). A native of Brooklyn, NY, Jeanne speaks Polish and has a B.A. in International Politics from The Catholic University of America and a M.S. in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University’s Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy.
