Brian George
Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw. Member of the Senior Foreign Service, serving in Poland for the third time.
Brian George is a career diplomat and member of the U.S. Department of State’s Senior Foreign Service. Prior to his arrival in Warsaw, Brian served most recently as head of Public Affairs at the U.S. embassies in Kampala, Uganda and Rabat, Morocco. In Morocco, Brian also served as Vice President of the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (Fulbright Morocco).
Additional previous diplomatic assignments include Afghanistan, Pakistan, Poland, Rwanda, and South Africa. At the State Department in Washington, Brian served as Press Officer and Public Diplomacy Officer in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs as well as Public Diplomacy Advisor for the 2012 NATO Summit in Chicago.
A native of Detroit, Brian has a BA from Michigan State University, an MA from the University of Denver, and an MBA from Cracow Economic University.
