Anna Kłonkowska

I am a sociologist, psychologist and philosopher. I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Gdansk. I received the Fulbright Senior Award to conduct research at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA in 2016-2017.

My research interests are focused on gender studies, sociology of the body, social situation of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. My experience with international exchange programs includes NAWA Bekker Program (State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, 2019-2020); Chair in Transgender Studies Research Fellowship (University of Victoria, Canada, 2018); Fulbright Foundation Senior Award (State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, 2016-2017); Kosciuszko Foundation Fellowship (State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, 2013); Bednarowski Trust Fellowship (University of Aberdeen, Scotland, 2011); Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, 2003). In my spare time, I like to practice outdoor activities, especially in the company of my children, our dogs and horses.
