We are seeking an inspiring Executive Director to lead our mission of strengthening relations between Poland and the United States through educational, scientific, and cultural exchanges and activities. The Executive Director plays a key role in leading programs that promote mutual understanding, foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and forge enduring individual and institutional partnerships.

Requirements:
- At least five years of managerial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results.
- Higher education.
- Fluency in Polish and English.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of the higher education system in Poland and the United States
- Desired experience working with NGOs, government agencies, and/or with academic and research institutions, including American partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Action-oriented and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience in fundraising and/or partnership development a plus.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Leading a team in planning, implementing, and evaluating the organization’s exchange programs and activities.
- Implementing and executing Board decisions and policies.
- Developing strategic partnerships with universities, research institutions, and private sector entities.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant developments in the American and Polish political, economic, legal, educational and social spheres with respect to their impact on the program.
- Managing human resources, including recruiting, hiring, evaluating staff, and empowering them through professional development, team building, and counseling.
- Drafting the annual budget for Board approval, ensuring all Commission activities remain within budgetary parameters, and ensuring timely and accurate commitment of funds.
- Overseeing the promotion of Fulbright programs.
- Selecting and supporting Fulbright exchange program participants.
- Convening plenary meetings of the Board of the Commission and its various committees, and actively participating in those meetings.
- Providing administrative supervision, including ensuring compliance with formal/legal requirements in areas such as, but not limited to, labor law, GDPR, IT systems, and fiscal policy.
