Who I am:

I am originally from Houston, Texas. I graduated from Baylor University in May of 2023, with a BA in University Scholars and concentrations in Political Science and International Studies. In college, I was involved in various extracurricular activities, including serving as parliamentarian on the executive board of the Baylor Chamber of Commerce, competing in Baylor’s annual musical theater competition with Sing Alliance, volunteering as a tutor at a local middle school, becoming a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and completing a congressional internship through Baylor in Washington. Following my bachelor’s degree, I decided to pursue my passion for public service through AmeriCorps. I currently live in Washington DC, where I provide high-impact tutoring and social-emotional coaching at a Title I elementary school via AmeriCorps and City Year, an education non-profit. In my free time, I enjoy reading, visiting museums, and playing the Sims 4.

My Fulbright grant focuses on:

My Fulbright ETA grant focuses on teaching English to university students building the relationship between the US and Poland through cultural diplomacy. I hope to learn about Polish history, government, society, and how to speak Polish during my grant.

I decided to apply for a Fulbright grant because:

I decided to apply for a Fulbright because the ETA grant bridges my interest in other cultures, my love for public service, and my experience in education. I chose to pursue a Fulbright in Poland because of a Slavic studies course I took during undergrad, which generated my interest in Polish culture.

After completing my Fulbright grant I would like to:

After completing my Fulbright grant, I would like to attend graduate school for a Master’s in Public Policy or International Relations. I have a particular interest in researching climate and social policy while obtaining my master’s. I plan to pursue a career in public service, working for lawmakers, NGOs, or a non-profit.
