Who I am:
I am a second-year student of Molecular Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University. In my Master’s thesis, I focus on investigating the role of the liver metastatic niche in the radiotherapy treatment of Uveal melanoma cancer cells.
Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, traveling, and cooking, with a particular fondness for Italian cuisine. I also engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and snowboarding. Additionally, I have experience playing handball for several years.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
My BioLab work in the lab centers on researching new gene therapies for epilepsy. Specifically, utilizing molecular cloning techniques to develop novel adeno-associated viral (AAV) vectors for applications in both basic and translational science. The primary objective of research is to advance AAV gene therapy for epilepsy treatment.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
I decided to apply to this program to expand my skill set and connect with experienced professionals in academia. I am eager to experience working in U.S. laboratories and to explore a different focus area from my Master’s studies, which will help me make informed decisions about my future career direction.
After completing my BioLAB Program I would like to:
Upon completion of the BioLab Program and defending my Master’s thesis, I aim to pursue further studies in academia. I believe that this program will equip me with the necessary knowledge and experience to establish an international career.
