Nataliia Voloshchuk
Who I am:
I am a second-year master`s student in Molecular Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University. Previously I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the same university. For the past few years, I focused on molecular cloning, recombinant protein production, and structural analysis. The best word to describe me is curious, therefore I am interested in broadening my knowledge and facing new scientific challenges.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
understanding the interaction between the immune system and RNA biology. I will join Prof. Joseph Piccirilli`s lab, where I am going to learn such techniques as generation of autoimmune libraries, bio-panning against RNA and next generation sequencing.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
it is an amazing opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience form the world`s first class scientists. I expect that such an experience will improve my current skills and provide me with an invaluable theoretical and practical background, which I will be able to use to face novel scientific problems in my further career.
After completing my BioLAB Program I would like to:
finish my master`s degree and pursue further education at the Ph.D. level. I expect that the internship experience will provide clarity on my future interests and research direction.
