Who I am:
I’m currently studying medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw, where I was born and raised. I’ve always been fascinated by the stories behind scientific discoveries and developed a strong interest in research during my studies, particularly in the field of immunology. I’m especially captivated by autoimmune diseases and the intricate mechanisms of the immune system, and I enjoy exploring how these mechanisms can be harnessed to improve human health. I see myself working in translational research, where I can help bridge the gap between laboratory findings and clinical applications.

Outside of my academic life, I love watching films or getting lost in a great book. I’m also interested in art and art history, especially modern and contemporary art. I like staying active — skiing has recently become one of my favorite pastimes. Additionally, I have a passion for traveling, which is why I’m extremely excited to be joining one of the labs at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City this year.

My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
Investigating the significance of Tertiary Lymphoid Organs in Sjogren’s Disease.

I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:

The program is a unique opportunity to grow and learn under the supervision of accomplished researchers and contribute meaningfully to critical scientific work. I am also eager to step out of my comfort zone and embrace the challenges and excitement of living abroad in an entirely new environment.

After completing my stay on BioLAB Program I would like to:
Continue growing as a scientist and learning how to combine my medical training with my interest in laboratory research. I want to pursue a scientific career, and I believe the BioLAB program will help me achieve this by equipping me with new skills and connecting me with inspiring people.
