Who I am:
I am a PhD candidate and cardiology resident at the 1st Department of Cardiology at the Medical University of Warsaw. My daily clinical practice is a continuous source of inspiration for translational research. My scientific interests focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases, novel diagnostic approaches, and potential therapeutic targets to improve patients’ quality of life and extend life expectancy.
As a passionate researcher, I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to conduct high-quality research using advanced laboratory techniques and bioinformatics tools. I am an open-minded and creative individual with a strong work ethic and high dedication.
I enjoy walking, attending theatre performances, and learning about space in my spare time.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
As part of the BioLAB Program, I will join Dr. Leitinger’s Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Virginia. My research will focus on identifying novel therapeutic targets and investigating the role of metabolism and inflammation in the pathogenesis of chronic pathological conditions like cardiovascular diseases.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
I have a strong passion for learning, and this initiative is an excellent opportunity to enhance my scientific knowledge and laboratory skills. It also offers a unique chance to contribute to ambitious research projects, collaborate with outstanding researchers, and experience American culture.
After completing my stay on BioLAB Program I would like to:
After completing the BioLAB Program, I intend to continue my PhD research and pursue further scientific projects to develop new therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular diseases.
