Joanna Maziarczyk
Intern
I am an intern at the Fulbright Commission, where I carry out both seasonal and yearly tasks supporting the Commission’s work. I am a student at the Warsaw University, enrolled at the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in Social Sciences and Humanities.
I graduated from the 1 st High School of Stanisław Staszic in Lublin, where I earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. I have been an active volunteer in non-governmental organisations since middle school. My journey started with the Lublin Volunteer Centre, where I volunteered alongside working with Lublin w Sieci Życzliwości foundation and the group Food Not Bombs. In high school I started organising projects and charity events on my own, brining help to children in Lublin orphanages and refugees living in my city, working with organisations offering help from all around the world; I also organised model United Nations LubMUN.
My greatest passion is music; I am an active listener and volunteer at festivals such as Lublin’s alternative music festival Wschód Kultury – Inne Brzmienia.
