Who I am:
I’m currently a Master’s student at the University of Wrocław. My master’s research focuses on galectins, where I mainly investigate their potential to form heterodimers and explore the roles these interactions might play.
Additionally, I participated in an Erasmus internship at the University of Copenhagen. During my internship, I focused on studying G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), investigating their structure, function, and how they couple with different G proteins.
Outside the lab, I have a bunch of hobbies that keep me busy. I love video games, board games and I read a ton. I also do a lot of artsy stuff: I draw, crochet, knit, and I’m hoping to try pottery soon.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
At BioLAB, I’m working on how Desmoplakin (DSP) influences Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, especially in terms of cell signaling. We’re looking into how changes in DSP might make the disease worse, and hoping that understanding these mechanisms could lead to new treatment options.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
I want to gain international experience and grow in the field of medical research. The program combines everything I’m looking for – advanced equipment, expert mentorship and a diverse research environment. I see it as the perfect opportunity to build technical skills and prepare me for a future PhD.
After completing my stay on BioLAB Program I would like to:
pursue a PhD somewhere in Europe, but I’m also open to other paths, depending on where this experience leads me.
