Who I am:
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in molecular biotechnology at the Jagiellonian University. I also graduated from the Jagiellonian University with a bachelor’s degree. Both my bachelor’s and master’s thesis projects were conducted at the Department of General Biochemistry, where my research focused on the MCPIP1 protein. In 2021, I completed a month-long internship in Chair of Technology and Biotechnology of Drugs. In May 2023, I started working as a laboratory technician at Oncogene Diagnostic. My main laboratory and computer skills include: cell cultures, RNA isolation, PCR (Reverse transcription (RT-PCR), Real-time PCR (qPCR), Gradient PCR), Western Blot, Cloning Techniques, Microsoft Office package, e-Lab system (integrated laboratory IT system).
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
My work in the laboratory will focus on a deeper understanding of the mechanism of action of BET family proteins, which play a key role in the transcription of most genes in eukaryotic cells.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
The BioLab program presents an invaluable opportunity for me to enhance my skills and broaden my knowledge within the field. I firmly believe that the essence of a scientist’s role lies in constant learning and keen observation. This internship offers me the chance to gain significant experience under the guidance of experienced scientists and actively contribute to scientific research.
After completing my BioLAB Program I would like to:
After completing the program, I want to continue to develop as a young scientist. I plan to work in an oncology company or continue my education to gain more knowledge and skills.
