Ewa Czarnojan

Executive Director

As the leader of the Commission Team, I collaborate with key partners – including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw – to advance our mission of fostering academic and cultural exchange between Poland and the United States.

I hold a degree in English philology. I have worked as a lecturer at the Maritime University of Szczecin and as a faculty member at the Department of English at the University of Szczecin. I also served for many years as an examiner for Cambridge English Exams (formerly ESOL). My professional journey has been closely connected with the publishing industry, including my role as General Manager for Poland at Oxford University Press, where I also managed the Hungarian office. As an Education Manager, I coordinated educational projects funded by the European Union.

I am the mother of two adult children.

I have a keen interest in cinema and enjoy reading. When the weather is favorable, I spend a lot of time in my garden.
