Anna Sławińska

Bydgoszcz, Toruń

I am a professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Toruń, where I work at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine. At the same time, I collaborate closely with the Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology at the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (PBS), where I was affiliated for the past 20 years. I work in the field of genetics, animal immunology and the interaction of microbiota with the host organism. I also cooperate with the Institute of Veterinary Medicine. I have participated in the Erasmus program (University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece), and did internships at the Wageningen University (the Netherlands) and University of Palermo (Italy). I was also a consultant at FAO / IAEA Agriculture and Biotechnology Laboratory in Vienna and a principal investigator at Molise University in Italy. In 2014/2015, I obtained the Fulbright Advanced Research Award, which allowed me to conduct research at the Iowa State University in Ames, USA. In my spare time, I like to explore diving around the world or hang out with my fur friends.
