Who I am:
I am a bioinformatics student at the University of Warsaw. I am a versatile individual who believes that the best way to understand the world is by exploring it from diverse perspectives. During my education, I developed strong biological and statistical intuition, essential for the accurate interpretation of experimental results.
My primary scientific interests include molecular biology, computational biology, and their applications in medicine. This aligns perfectly with my master’s thesis work, where I employ machine learning to investigate metabolic functions of the human gut microbiome.
An equally important perspective for me is viewing the world through the lens of art and I hold a deep appreciation for photography, the art of cinema, and computer games.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
I will be working in Dr. Rafał Donczew’s lab, which focuses on advancing our understanding of how BET family proteins coordinate gene transcription and DNA replication in eukaryotic organisms.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
My main motivation was the desire to work on a research project where I could apply the skills and experience I gained during my studies while developing new ones. Also, I believe the BioLAB Program can provide an excellent platform for expanding my network within the scientific community.
After completing my stay on BioLAB Program I would like to:
Сontinue my journey in science by either pursuing a PhD or working in a bioinformatics company.
