Who I am:
Currently, I am in the second year of my Master’s degree in Marine Biotechnology at the University of Gdańsk.
My great passion lies in the molecular biology of cancer.
During my internship in Portugal, I gained new knowledge with employing phenotypic screening approaches with Zebrafish larvae and microinjections of cancer cells to study the beneficial effects of microalgae extracts. In parallel with my Master’s studies, I started an internship at the Medical University of Gdańsk, a project on improving the characterization of Circulating Tumor Cells in breast and prostate cancer.
In my free time, I enjoy the backpacking form of traveling to discover new countries.
My BioLAB work in the lab focuses on:
I will be joining Dr Jie Yang’s Lab. I aim to expand my laboratory experience through exploring the developing chemical probes to target mitochondrial stress response signaling in cancer using cryo-EM structural analysis of protein complexes.
I decided to apply for a BioLAB program because:
I am interested in the BioLab program because of the unique opportunities it offers on an international scale. This prestigious program offers the opportunity to work in a global environment, collaborate with outstanding scientists, and gain valuable experience in cutting-edge laboratories. I believe that this journey will help shape my future research career.
After completing my stay on BioLAB Program I would like to:
deepen my knowledge and skills while contributing to the field that inspires me, with the goal of pursuing a PhD in cancer research.
