The Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA are pleased to invite for a 2-day conference: “Direct to internationalization: How to Attract American Students to Polish Universities?”
Participants will become familiar with topics, such as Polish-American cooperation in learning and higher education, as well as tools and possibilities developed by NAWA and Fulbright Commission to strengthen this collaboration.
In order for the Polish-U.S. cooperation to be mutually beneficial, American and Polish experts will discuss how to encourage students from the United States to participate in the full course of study, how to initiate collaboration with American universities, and take advantage of the possibilities offered by Polish higher education institutions.
The conference will be held on March 8 in Warsaw. Its official inauguration will take place on March 7 combined with a reception organized by the Polish-US Fulbright Commission to celebrate the 60 years of Fulbright program in Poland. Guests who have confirmed their presence for the inauguration include Georgette Mosbacher, U.S. Ambassador in Poland and Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Science and Higher Education. A world-renowned jazz group USAFE Band – The United States Air Forces Band – will complement the evening with their entertaining performance.
Among the speakers are Prof. Juanita Villena-Alvarez from the University of South Carolina Beaufort, Prof. Marek Konarzewski from the Polish Ministry of Foreigh Affairs, Grażyna Żebrowska from the Polish Embassy in Washington, DC, Dr. Christopher Medalis, International Education Expert from New York City, and representatives of Polish and American higher education institutions.
