On July 21, 2021, the participants of the 2018 Fulbright-Hays Summer Seminar in Poland gathered on Zoom to share how they have applied the knowledge gained during the workshop in their academic work: teaching, advising, and research. We were delighted to hear that, even after three years, the experience of participating in the workshop in Poland still has a profound impact on the professional—and sometimes even personal—lives of these remarkable individuals. A phrase that was frequently mentioned during the virtual meeting was that the 2018 Fulbright-Hays Summer Seminar is “the gift that keeps on giving.” The two hours spent together on Zoom felt just like another in-person meeting! The event was organized and moderated by Juanita Babet Villena-Alvarez—our heartfelt thanks to her!
