Fulbright Specialist Program

Fulbright Senior Specialists Program: The program provides U.S. academic experts to Polish institutions for 2 to 6 weeks in response to university requests forwarded to Fulbright Commission. The primary goals of the program are to increase the number of leading U.S. scholars in Fulbright academic exchanges; to encourage new activities that go beyond the traditional Fulbright activities of lecturing and research; to promote increased connections between U.S. and overseas academic institutions in the Fulbright context. Polish universities should submit projects requesting Fulbright Senior Specialists by name or by field of specialization. Deadlines: November (projects for not earlier than May of the following year) or May (projects for not earlier than October of the same year)

Program details

The Polish - U.S. Fulbright Commission invites Polish schools of higher education to submit requests for Fulbright Senior Specialists (by name or by field of specialization) to undertake the following kinds of activities, over a two to six-week period at one or more academic institutions:

Participate in or lead seminars or workshops

Conduct needs assessments, surveys, institutional or programmatic research

Take part in specialized academic programs and conferences

Consult with administrators and instructors of post-secondary institutions on faculty development

Develop and/or assess academic curricula or educational materials

Conduct teacher-training programs at the tertiary level
